Anthony Kennedy Shriver is the son of Eunice Kennedy Shriver, a Woman with a Vision of helping the less fortunate, sister of the known Kennedy brothers.
Anthony Kennedy Shriver founded in 1989 Best Buddies, which is a vibrant, international organization that has grown from one original chapter to more than 1,500 college, high school and middle school campuses across the country and internationally.
Best Buddies is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with (IDDs).
Eunice Kennedy Shriver, passed away in August 11, 2009 but her spirit will always be with us: “Help your fellow human beings, regardless their color, their location and even their intellectual ability. Help as mush as you can”.
Anthony Kennedy Shriver, takes this issue one step further: “Make a friendship with a person of that may have an intellectual disability, work with her/him, they need you, at the end not only you may improve their situation, but you will also feel fulfilled”
