The What you see is what you get editor is almost self explanatory for anyone who has used word processors for a while. There are some additional icons that provided specialized functions (such as inserting pictures, links etc.
We will try and make it as simple as possible, for any problems please do not hesitate to post a comment under this article.
A short description follows for the various icons as shown above. Numbering begins from the top row and from the left to the right. You may right click on the picture and open a slightly larger view in a new tab or window.
1
Insert Picture from your computer. You have two choices: Flash uploader and Browser uploader. Try them both to see which one is best for you. There is a lot of optional information that you can add in your picture, before you click to insert in your article.
2
Add Video. Hold for now.
3
Add music. Hold for now.
4
Add multimedia. Hold for now.
5
Simple bold
6
Inclined text Italics bold and Italics
7
Single strike through.

Selectcolor of text.
25
Paste as plain text. If you have a good text editor (not a word processor), you do not need this one or the next. You could run in to strange problems. If you do not have a good text editor use babelpad from: http://www.babelstone.co.uk/Software/BabelPad.html Excelent for almost all languages and FREE.
26
Pasting from Word but I would not recommend it.
27
Remove formatting.
28
Insert and edit multimedia, leave it for later.
29
Used to insert a variety of special characters such as British Pound £, Euro €, Yen ¥ etc etc.
You can create new articles only under Category “Last but not least - FRIENDS” with your own personal password to share with your Friends and Family only.
The next article is just a sample with a very simple password just to demonstrate this capability. In order to create your own password protected article follow these steps:
Once you log in you may find that you are in the Admin area, if not go to the “Site Admin” area located under the Meta heading in the left column, just above the Calendar. In the admin area click on Posts. Once post expands, select “Add New”
An “Add New Post” area will open with a title area on the top, a series of formatting icons and a message area below. A detailed article explaining all formatting capabilities will be added soon.
Enter your title and message and proceed to formatting (a bit of experimenting is the best approach).
Select under which category or sub-category you wish your article to appear (you will find the list of categories in the right column) - Must be Category “Last but not least - FRIENDS” or sub-categories only, for password protection.
Now move up in the right column and under “Publish”. Under visibility click on Edit. The list will expand and a “Password protected” button will appear. Select this button and the area to enter your password will appear. Enter your password, make sure you save it in a safe place and click OK.
Click “Save Draft”, in fact it is safer to click the “Save Draft” button before you reach this final stage and again when you are done.
Click on Publish (the blue button) and you are done.
Now read the next article which has a password 1234 and title “Sample article with password - Test”
The WordPress Foundation is a charitable organization founded by Matt Mullenweg to further the mission of the WordPress open source project: to democratize publishing through Open Source, GPL software.
Matt Mullenweg must be one of the few Special Persons in this World. The World needs him and many more like him. As a result of his efforts, blogging has become as common as your local newspaper and much more. A means of expressing ourselves and also a means of helping others as well as, ourselves.
Below is a copy of the philosophy of the New now registered Wordpress Foundation:
Philosophy
In order to serve the public good, all of the software and projects we promote should support the following goals:
The software should be freely available to anyone to use for any purpose, and without permission.
The software should be open to modifications.
Any modifications should be freely distributable at no cost and without permission from its creators.
The software should provide a framework for translation to make it globally accessible to speakers of all languages.
The software should provide a framework for extensions so modifications and enhancements can be made without modifying core code.
Donate Generously if you can afford it, your money will certainly make the World a better place, consider Wordpress as a universal means of Global Communication at the human level!!

Eunice Kennedy Shriver, passed away in August 11, 2009 but her spirit will always be with us: “Help your fellow human beings, regardless their color, their location and even their intellectual ability. Help as mush as you can”.
Anthony Kennedy Shriver, takes this issue one step further: “Make a friendship with a person of that may have an intellectual disability, work with her/him, they need you, at the end not only you may improve their situation, but you will also feel fulfilled”
A very young and special Person - We wish him all the best.
Declan John Galbraith is a very young (hardly 18 years old Child) from Dublin Ireland who must be also a very nice person. A good friend of mine send me one of his early songs ( when he was only 11 years old) with the title “Tell Me Why”. It is a very touching antiwar song and I hope all parents will listen to this song together with their young children and do it more than once. The link from YouTube is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_EyxL1srtg
When you search in YouTube for: “Declan Galbraith - Tell Me Why” you will get over 600 similar links, each one with a small variety. The total views are in the millions, which is very encouraging. The above link has subtitles (lyrics) in English and Arabic. Below I am presenting another sample from YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hQgF7izPiw
Enjoy and spread the word.

When you try to register as a user you may experience a problem of not receiving the activation email. We are exploring the reasons and will try and fix this problem. If this is your case please send us an email to: info@yourfree-blog.com requesting an account to be formed for you. Please include the user name you wish to have and provide a second option for the event that the first one is taken. We will create a new account and will send you your password. You then must log as a new user and you can change your password from your control panel to anything you wish.
If you wish to enter a new article with pictures you must first create a members account. Click on Register under the Meta heading and enter a user name and your valid email. A new password will be emailed to you. You must then activate your account. Once you received the confirmation email that you are now a member, proceed to log in and follow the steps below to enter a new article with one or more pictures:
Copy from this article the strange looking text shown in between the two double lines and paste in a simple text word processor. This is just a small table with 1 raw and 3 columns. (Do not use Notepad, WordPad or any other will do fine).
Open create new article window.
Click on Alt+Shift+Z simultaneously if the second formatting toolbar is not visible.
Enter under the visual tab of the new article window any text you wish to add before the pictures (if any).
When you reach the point where you wish to add the picture, copy the text that you saved earlier, open the HTML tag and move to the bottom of what was previously written and in the next line paste the saved text.
Return to the Visual tab, place your cursor in the area you wish to place your photo (use formatting tools if required). The small table will now be visible with three columns, one to the left, one to the right (for pictures) and one to the center for text. Place your mouse cursor in the cell where you wish the picture to appear.
Upload from your computer (one at the time) the picture you selected. To do this you click on the icon to the right of Upload/Insert (Add an image). A small screen will appear with two options for upload: Flash and Browser. I find the Browser more reliable (you can experiment with both). Click on Upload and very soon the picture from your computer will be shown in a new small screen. Here you can type if you wish a Caption, add a description but make sure you choose the Alignment and size. Once all is done click on “Insert to post” and you are done.
Change the text and title in the Visual tag, as required and if required and you are now finished.
<h1 style=”text-align: center;”>Your title here - If required</h1>
<table border=”0″ width=”100%” align=””center””>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td style=”text-align: center;” width=”25%”><img class=”aligncenter size-full wp-image-139″ title=”flower” src=”http://yourfree-blog.com/YourBlog/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/flower.gif” alt=”flower” width=”150″ height=”106″ /></td>
<td width=”50%”>Your text here as required and as much as required.</td>
<td width=”25%”>Second picture if required</td>
</tr>
</tbody></table>
Your title here - If required
Your text here as required and as much as required.
Your text here as required and as much as required.
Your text here as required and as much as required.
Second picture if required
Notes:
The above small table is really misused for just one picture. If you are brave you can experiment by changing a few things in the tags of this table:
Border: you can place a border to the table by changing the: <table border=”0″ width=”100%” align=””center””> to <table border=”2″ width=”100%” align=””center””> do not exceed the border=”3″, it may look funny.
You can delete the cell to the right which is intended for one more picture and make the center cell wider. It is easier to show a new full example below, with a border of 2 only two columns
<h1 style=”text-align: center;”>Your title here - If required</h1>
<table border=”0″ width=”100%” align=””center””>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td style=”text-align: center;” width=”25%”>One picture here</td>
<td width=”75%”>Your text here as required and as much as required.</td>
</tr>
</tbody></table>
Your title here - If required
One picture here
Your text here as required and as much as required.
This is a very perplexing issue. I followed over the last few years the various opinions available in the media. I can’t say I agree or disagree with any one of them. My background is engineering with some basic knowledge of the science of thermodynamics. I also live in Canada (the Toronto area) where this year we have experienced the worst summer months with no end in site. Cooler, much much wetter and other unusual phenomena.
So I decided to do a basic analysis of the numbers only, without any bias for any of the circulating theories, regardless where they originate. Here are the facts:
From http://www.waterencyclopedia.com/Ge-Hy/Glaciers-Ice-Sheets-and-Climate-Change.html I was informed that the “The majority of the ice, 29 × 10^6 cubic kilometers (approximately 7 million cubic miles), is in Antarctica” and if all of this value of ice is to melt the sea levels will rise by 75 meters (yes meters not feet or inches). The 75 meters checks with geometry calculations if we assume the earth as a sphere of 12756 meters diameter.
My next question was how much energy will be absorbed by the ice in order to melt, assuming that only 1 cm rise in waters will happen globally (assuming equal distribution).
I assumed ice is sitting in the poles at a temperature of 0 deg F and it will have to reach the temperature of 32 deg F before it starts melting. Then it will slowly melt and become water at 32 deg F at which point it will start raising our global waters. And finally that the water will heat up and become 40 deg F as it dissipates throughout the globe.
There are three heating functions that must take place in order for this to happen (simple thermodynamics):
The ice needs heat in order to raise its temperature from 0 to 30 deg F ice
The ice needs heat in order to melt from 0 to 0 deg F water – This heat is 143 higher (per unit weight) than the heat required by an equal weight of water to raise it’s temperature by 1 deg F (It is called the latent heat of fusion).
The melted water needs heat in order to raise its temperature from 32 to 40 deg F water
By putting all these numbers together we arrive to: 1,325,473,763,786,980,000 BTU (British Thermal Units) required in order to melt enough ice so that the global waters will rise by only 1 cm.
This is an enormous amount of heat and just for fun, if we assume that a series of 100000 BTU/hr furnaces are working 24 per day, we will require 1 billion (yes 1 billion) furnaces working for 1.5 year continuously in order to generate this heat.
Clearly something does not make sense here. There is a possibility (small) that I made an error in my calculations – comments and corrections are welcome. But if what I am saying here is correct and in view of the official statements that global waters are rising, the polar ice is melting etc this enormous amount of heat required to melt the ice must be coming from somewhere. If it is not the global warming, CO2, methane etc then it may be coming from the Sun. But we are also told that the Sun is going in to a lower energy phase. So what is going on?????
I don’t really know, I am not a specialist in weather phenomena. All what I know that here were we live, is getting colder and the question I have is:
Could this enormous energy requirement be the reason that we are witnessing these strange phenomena of some places in the world to become really much warmer and other much cooler. Possibly areas protected from the poles by mountains become warmer and other with exposed border to the poles become much cooler in order for the ice to absorb heat from the air of the nearest vicinity???
So my personal conclusion is that something is going on, it is also possible that this is entirely due to the man made global warming. But it will certainly will do no harm to fight a further increase of man made global warming and explore the meteorological phenomena further so that we can be prepared for the next major change of our Planet’s behavior. When you think of a huge, extra heavy round rock (our Planet) rotating in pure vacuum around a huge round fire ball (our Sun) for billions of years now, it is mind boggling. How long can this go on without some serious changes??? No one knows at the moment.
Comments, addition, deletions (by contacting me) and any other ideas are very welcome.
I do have a spreadsheet which needs a bit of cleaning to make it more readable. I will post it here soon.
